I earned my PhD in 2009 from the University of Wales, and since then I have worked in academia as a professor and trained as a qualified teacher (check out my certificates below). As well as publishing books and articles in my own field (children’s literature), I have served as an editor and reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed publications. In the past year, I have helped more than 20 graduate students successfully complete their degrees--and I can help you, too.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like crowds. When you work with me, you work with ME – not a big group of coaches. You always know exactly who you’ll be seeing in a session, and who will be reviewing your work – because it will be me.
There is too much toxic pressure, competition, and burnout in academia already – I refuse to add to it. Instead, I will look out for your overall wellbeing as well as just your completion deadline – even when you don’t remember to. I'll remind you to take breaks, suggest self-care strategies, cheerlead for you at every stage, and listen when you need to have a rant or vent some frustration. Think of me as your "dissertation doula"!
