"Being part of this community made me feel like I was never alone in the process - it helped me to write through to get through - together!” — Judy, Doctor of Leadership and Higher Education
Consistent, limited number of weekly sessions means maximum accountability - no endlessly putting off the work until the next workshop.
No contract and no obligation means maximum flexibility - join when you want and leave when you want. Know your people are there when you need them.
I designed this group for busy women just like you.
No mansplaining. No toxic pressure. Just a group of women just like you, who know what you’re going through and are ready to root for you. This is not a bootcamp. It’s a sanctuary.
Every Monday at 9am EST and Thursday at 13:30 am EST: Dedicated writing workshops
Every Wednesday at 11 am EST: Dedicated Q&A workshop
I earned my PhD in 2009 from the University of Wales, and since then I have worked in academia as a professor and trained as a qualified teacher (check out my certificates below). As well as publishing books and articles in my own field (children’s literature), I have served as an editor and reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed publications. In the past year, I have helped more than 20 graduate students successfully complete their degrees--and I can help you, too.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like crowds. When you work with me, you work with ME – not a big group of coaches. You always know exactly who you’ll be seeing in a session, and who will be reviewing your work – because it will be me.
There is too much toxic pressure, competition, and burnout in academia already – I refuse to add to it. Instead, I will look out for your overall wellbeing as well as just your completion deadline – even when you don’t remember to. I'll remind you to take breaks, suggest self-care strategies, cheerlead for you at every stage, and listen when you need to have a rant or vent some frustration. Think of me as your "dissertation doula"!
