When you enroll in your dissertation coaching service, you will receive one-on-one sessions, in which we will discuss your progress and problems and work on solutions, techniques, and strategies. You can join the co-writing group to access a supported and focused writing space, and you can use your project management board (Intensive and Momentum services only) to break down tasks and set goals and timelines. You will also have the ability to reach out 24/7 via email for help when you need it. Finally, you can request written feedback on your manuscript drafts (priced separately for Ad-Hoc and Momentum). You can also opt to purchase a range of add-on a la carte services, including document editing/formatting, presentation design and formatting, single 1:1 sessions, and plagiarism training, customizing the coaching to exactly what you need.
Just three easy steps. First, click on the “Get Me Back on Track” button to schedule a free call with me. You’ll be taken to a calendar showing available dates—they’re shown in your time zone automatically. During your free call, we’ll come up with an action plan of 3 next steps for your project that you can implement with or without me. If you like how I work, we can enroll you in coaching then and there. If you need more time to think, I’ll email you everything you’d need to pay for a service and schedule your sessions later. Make sure you add readwriteperfect@outlook.com to your safe senders list, so your invite email doesn’t go to spam. That’s it!

Once you’ve decided to book a service, you’ll be sent a payment link. Payments can be made via any credit card. Payments for subscriptions will be taken monthly until you cancel your subscription. You can pay for the Intensive Package as a full-price, 2-month package ($2399), or as a rolling monthly subscription at a discounted rate. Subscriptions are for a minimum of three months and are charged monthly ($1099/month).
Once you have enrolled and made your first payment, you will receive two emails. The first will welcome you to the program and contain a link to schedule your regular sessions. The second will be an invitation to join your personal project management board. Once you have scheduled your sessions and joined your board, you will be all set to start!
I don't think you'll want to, but yes, you can cancel your coaching subscription at any time after your 3-month minimum subscription period has ended. Just send me an email to let me know you'd like to cancel, and I'll take care of it for you. Your coaching will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.
The co-writing group is a supportive and focused writing space where you can work on your dissertation alongside other students. It's a great way to stay motivated and productive, and you'll have the opportunity to share your progress and get feedback from your peers.
The project management board is a tool that helps you stay organized and on track with your dissertation. You can use it to break down your tasks into smaller, more manageable steps, set goals and timelines, and track your progress. Your coach will also have access to your board, so they can provide guidance and support as you work through your project.
If you need help between sessions, you can reach out to your coach via email. They'll be happy to answer any questions you have and provide guidance and support as you work through your project.

Our student tutorials are focused, 1-hour sessions designed to give you practical, hands-on help with specific parts of the PhD journey. Instead of long-winded theory, we get straight into the “how-to.” You’ll leave with a clear structure, a finished draft (or a very strong start on one), and templates you can keep using. Topics include things like mapping your literature review, designing your methodology, and planning your viva prep.
Each tutorial is a small-group workshop. We start with a quick brief on the specific task (e.g., writing a justification for your methodology). Then, the majority of the hour is spent on guided work. I’ll provide the structure and templates, and you’ll apply them to your own research in real-time. I’m there to answer questions and give feedback as you work, so you leave with something tangible done.
Head to the Student Tutorials page, find the session that fits your current needs, and click “Book Now.” You’ll be taken to the booking calendar where you can choose a date and time that works for you. Once you’ve booked and paid, you’ll get a confirmation email with the Zoom link and any prep materials you might need.
Usually, just have your current research notes or drafts handy. If a specific tutorial requires something else (like a particular article you’re working on), I’ll let you know in the confirmation email. The goal is to make these as low-stress and high-impact as possible.
Because these are live, small-group sessions with limited spots, I don’t typically offer refunds. However, if you let me know at least 48 hours in advance, I’m happy to move your booking to a future session of the same tutorial. If you miss a session without notice, I can’t offer a transfer, but you will still receive the templates and resources from the workshop.

These are practical, 1-hour sessions designed for early-career PhD supervisors or those looking to streamline their supervision process. We focus on high-impact skills like setting expectations in the first meeting, providing effective feedback on drafts, and managing complex student dynamics. You’ll get ready-to-use templates (like supervision meeting records and feedback frameworks) to use with your students immediately.
Each session covers a specific aspect of supervision. For example, in the “Expectations and Boundaries” workshop, we walk through exactly how to set up a supervision agreement. In the “Feedback Frameworks” session, I show you a system for giving deep feedback in less time. It’s all about practical tools that save you time and make you a more confident, effective supervisor.
Go to the Supervisor Tutorials page and select the workshop you’re interested in. Click “Book Now,” choose your date/time, and complete the checkout. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details, including the Zoom link and any templates we’ll be using during the session.
Yes! Many supervisors use their professional development or research funds to pay for these workshops. If you need a formal invoice for your finance department to process a reimbursement or direct payment, just email me at jen@readwriteperfect.com and I’ll get that over to you.
Yes. Each workshop includes documentation confirming one hour of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). You’ll receive a certificate of completion stating the workshop title, date, and instructional hours, which you can use for annual review, promotion, or institutional CPD reporting requirements.
These workshops are designed for new or early-career PhD supervisors who want practical tools they can use immediately. If you’re looking for clear structure, ready-to-use templates, and focused skill development (not theory-heavy training), they’re a strong fit.
These workshops focus on one practical supervision skill at a time and provide ready-to-use templates you can apply immediately. They’re not generic training. Instead, they’re grounded in real academic experience—both supervising and coaching doctoral students—so the guidance is realistic, structured, and designed for genuine PhD supervision contexts.
